Privacy Policy
ThatApp.io ("ThatApp," "we," "us") is operated by TECHeGO, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to thatapp.io, the ThatApp platform and extensions, and AVA, our Organizational Intelligence.
Information we collect
- Account information you provide: name, work email, organization, and password.
- Your organization's platform data: when you connect Podio or any of our supported platforms, we sync your records, comments, files, tasks, and revisions into a data lake that your organization owns, so we can provide backup, restore, AVA, and automation.
- Billing information: usage metrics and payment details, processed by our payment provider (BlueSnap). We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser, and product interactions, including via cookies and analytics (Google Analytics).
- Communications: messages you send us, and email engagement (opens and clicks) measured through our email provider (Mailgun).
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the service: real-time backup, restore, AVA Organizational Intelligence, and automation across connected platforms.
- To bill for usage, provide support, secure the platform, and improve our products.
- To send service, transactional, and (where permitted) marketing communications. You can unsubscribe from marketing email at any time.
AVA and your data
AVA is trained on your organization's own data and is scoped to your organization. We do not share your organization's data with any third-party AI model for that model's own training, and we do not sell your personal information. Each organization's knowledge is isolated from every other organization at the application and database layers.
Data residency
At registration your tenant is deployed in the United States or the European Union based on your location, so EU customer data is stored in the EU.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us run ThatApp, under contract and only as needed: cloud hosting and database providers, our payment processor (BlueSnap), our email provider (Mailgun), and analytics (Google). We may disclose information if required by law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition. We do not sell personal data.
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, strict per-organization isolation, and our Mithril security layer, which detects and masks sensitive and personal data. Access is scoped and audited. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information using recognized practices.
Data retention
We retain your organization's data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can export or request deletion of your data; after account closure we delete or de-identify data within a commercially reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at [email protected]. You may also unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality and to understand product usage through Google Analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Children
ThatApp is a business product and is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the "last updated" date above.
