RELAY includes a basic outbound email campaign capability — send a single email to a list of contacts from your connected platforms.

Creating a campaign

Tell AVA:

"I want to send an email campaign to all active clients in our Podio Client app."

AVA will ask:

  • What should the email say?
  • Which field contains the email address?
  • Are there any contacts to exclude (opt-outs, specific statuses)?
  • When do you want to send it?

Writing the email

Write the email content in plain language. AVA will format it. The email supports the same variables as auto-replies — you can personalize with the recipient's name, their record values, or any field from the source platform.

Scheduling

Tell AVA when to send the campaign: immediately, at a specific date and time, or as a recurring schedule (for ongoing email programs).

Tracking

After sending, RELAY tracks:

  • Delivery status (delivered, bounced, failed)
  • Open rate (for emails opened via ThatApp's tracking pixel)
  • Unsubscribes (RELAY automatically adds an unsubscribe link to every outbound email)

Ask AVA: "How did the client campaign perform?" for a summary.

Opt-out handling

RELAY automatically handles unsubscribes. When a recipient clicks the unsubscribe link, their email address is added to a suppression list and excluded from all future campaigns. You do not need to manage this manually.
