Routing rules are the logic that decides what happens to each inbound message. They read the email and direct it to the right place in Podio.
What a rule can do
- Route by recipient address, sender, or subject.
- Create a new item, or attach to an existing one as a comment.
- Map parts of the message onto specific fields.
Start simple. One rule that turns mail to a single address into items in one app is enough to prove the flow. Add specificity as real messages show you the patterns.
