Archiving removes a template from active use without deleting it. Archived templates are retained in your account and can be restored.
When to archive
- A template is outdated but you want to keep it for reference
- You are replacing a template with an updated version and want to preserve the old one
- A template is no longer needed but you are not sure you will never need it again
How to archive
Navigate to Print → Templates → [your template] → Settings → Archive.
Confirm the action. The template is moved to the Archived section of your template library.
What happens to activated templates
If the template is activated on any Podio apps, archiving will deactivate it from all of them. The Print button will disappear from those apps.
Restoring an archived template
Navigate to Print → Templates → Archived → [template] → Restore. The template is moved back to the active library.
Deleting a template permanently
Templates cannot be deleted while active or archived — they must be deleted from the Archived section. Navigate to Print → Templates → Archived → [template] → Delete Permanently. This action cannot be undone.
