How usage is counted

Usage billing is only fair if you understand how it is measured. Here are the exact rules, with no fine print hiding behind them.
The rules
- Round up to the next million. Records and tokens are billed per million, rounded up.
- Peak daily count. Billing uses the highest daily count for the month, not an average and not the last day.
- No double-billing. A platform already in your backup sync is not charged again as an automation connector.
- Per org, per month. Everything is scoped to the organization and billed monthly.
AVA estimates before big work. Before a large query she tells you the record count and token cost and waits for approval — so token usage never spikes by surprise.
