Sync overview

Sync is the part of ThatApp we have run the longest. It started in 2013 as the only real-time backup for Podio, and it is still the foundation under AVA, automation, and everything else.
What it is
A permanent, encrypted, continuously updated copy of your organization, captured into a data lake your organization owns. Every item, comment, file, task, and revision lands there, milliseconds behind live.
Why it matters
- Recovery — bring back deleted items, fields, or spaces; revert any item to an earlier revision.
- Intelligence — AVA answers from the lake, so heavy use never multiplies your platform costs.
- Portability — switch platforms later and your history, and your intelligence, travel with you.
Not just Podio. All 181 platform connectors feed the same lake. Data from any connected platform is protected from deletion, not only Podio.
