Revert an item to an earlier revision
3 min read · Updated June 2026
Because the lake captures every revision, you can move a single item backwards in time without disturbing anything around it.
When you'd use it
- A bad bulk edit changed a field across many items — revert the affected ones.
- Someone overwrote a value you needed — roll that item back to before the change.
- You want to see exactly what an item looked like on a given date.
Surgical, not sweeping. Reverting a revision affects only the item you choose. Preview the earlier state, confirm, and commit.
