Data residency & EU routing
4 min read · Updated June 2026
Where your data lives is decided at registration and enforced by architecture — not left to a setting someone could flip.
How routing works
- Verified at registration. Your location is checked and your tenant is deployed in the US or the EU.
- EU stays in the EU. Organizations outside North America are routed to EU servers, so EU data stays in the EU — aligned with GDPR expectations.
- Enforced by deployment. Residency is a property of where your tenant lives, not a toggle.
Why it's a hard guarantee. Because residency is set by tenant deployment, there is no path for EU data to be processed in the US — the boundary is structural.
