You can export any data from your lake at any time. Your data is yours and there are no restrictions on export.

**Export a query result (via AVA)**

After any query, tell AVA: "Export this to CSV." She will generate a download link. Most exports are ready within seconds; large exports (hundreds of thousands of records) may take a few minutes.

Supported formats: CSV, JSON, Excel (.xlsx).

**Export a full app**

In the Sync interface, navigate to Sync → platform → app. Click Export at the top right. Choose your format and whether to include deleted records and file attachment metadata.

For large apps, the export runs in the background. You will receive an email with the download link when it is ready.

**Export a complete platform**

Navigate to Sync → platform → Export All. This exports every app and workspace on that platform in a structured ZIP file.

**Export with historical data**

By default, exports contain the current state of each record. To include revision history, enable "Include revision history" in the export options. Historical exports are significantly larger in file size.

**What is not included in exports**

File attachments are not included by default — only metadata (filename, URL). To export the actual files, use FileHaven export: Sync → FileHaven → Export.
